Congratulations! You have purchased one of the greatest inventions in beverage industry. Please read this Maintenance Guide carefully before using the product. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact one of our tea specialists. Daily Clean Up
Rinse the outer pot (glass pot) with water or mild detergent shortly after the tea is finished (same tea leaf is good for several brews). Shake off all the tealeaf in the infuser then rinse it under running tap water to get rid of the remaining leaves. Put the infuser upside down on a flat surface for air dry. This is an important step to prevent clogging of the stainless steel ball. DO NOT use any abrasive cleaners or cloth to clean any part of the teapot.
Remove Tea Stain
When there is excessive tea stain built up in the glass and/or the infuser, soak the unit in white vinegar overnight and rinse well under running tap water.
Alternatively, you may soak the unit in diluted bleach for couple hours. Rinse it well under running tap water and soak it in clean water overnight before use.
The tea pot, infuser and lid are dishwasher safe however; frequent wash by powerful dishwasher may damage the unit over time.
FAQ
Q: How long will the filters last?
A: The filter is permanently built in, no replacement required.
Q: Can I put the glass pot on stove?
A: No. However, you may use electrical coffee/tea warmer or tea-light candle warmer base to keep your tea warm.
Q: Can I use it for coffee?
A: Definitely! The filter is designed to filter fine leaves or fine grind coffee. We, however, do not suggest using the same infuser for both beverages.
Q: The stainless steel ball clogs sometimes. What should I do?
A: There are few reasons why the ball bearing is caught in the hole at the bottom of the infuser. Most of the time is caused by user leaving tealeaves in the infuser overnight or even longer. Another more common reason is the mineral build up caused by the hard water from tap. When the ball is stuck or clogged, turn the infuser upside down, reach in from the bottom and apply firm pressure to the stainless steel ball using your thumb or index finger to push the ball downwards. Please note: the push button that use for releasing tea from the infuser to the glass pot is meant for pushing down only – DO NOT PULL.
